The Port of Tarragona received MSC Cruises’ MSC Bellissima, the largest ship to ever enter the port, at the new Balears Wharf on 17 July.
Representatives of the Tarragona Port Authority, led by director of port operations Núria Obiols, presented a commemorative metope of the visit to the ship’s captain, Roberto Leotta.
The event was also attended by Alba Colet of cruise port operator Global Ports Holding, Montse Royo of logistics company Bergé Marítima, Eugenia Mendoza from ports services provider Lantimar, and representatives of MSC Cruises.
MSC Bellissima’s call in Tarragona involved the embarkation of 408 passengers and disembarkation of 433 passengers and lasted for around 13 hours. It was the first of ten calls MSC Cruises will make in Tarragona this year, including eight more stopovers by MSC Bellissima and a call by MSC Magnifica on 11 November.
