Fred. Olsen Cruise Line’s Boudicca returned to Portsmouth International Port (PIP) on 8 October as part of her ‘Myths and Legends of Ireland & the UK’ cruise.

Arriving from Newcastle in north-east England, Boudicca berthed at the port for a full day to allow her 880 passengers to take organised excursions to famous landmarks, climb the Emirates Spinnaker Tower, visit Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard and various other local attractions.

“Boudicca’s welcome return highlights the real value that Portsmouth offers cruise ship operators,” said Captain Rupert Taylor, PIP’s harbour master. “With so many world-class attractions, all so close to where ships dock, passengers are guaranteed a great time within minutes of stepping ashore. With more cruises now focused on British destinations we hope to see even more visiting liners in the coming years.”

After departing Portsmouth, Boudicca sailed to Falmouth and will sail to various British Isles destinations before completing her cruise in Newcastle. These will include Cork, Republic of Ireland; Belfast, Northern Ireland; and Kirkwall, Invergordon and Edinburgh, Scotland.
