Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Pride is to operate a series of ten- to 14-day Caribbean cruise between Baltimore, US, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the first time in 2015-2016.
On 17 January 2016, Carnival Pride will sail an 11-day voyage from Baltimore, which calls at Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, and St Croix, before arriving in San Juan. Meanwhile, guests sailing on the ship’s ten-day eastern Caribbean cruise from San Juan to Baltimore at the end of January will visit St Thomas, Antigua, Dominica, St Lucia, St Kitts and St Maarten. The ship’s 14-day eastern Caribbean roundtrip from Baltimore departs 13 March and features calls at eight islands including Grand Turk, San Juan, St Thomas, Dominica, St Lucia, Martinique, Antigua and St Maarten.
“Our guests and travel agent partners have been seeking more varied options from the North East – particularly longer length voyages – and we’re delighted to expand our schedules from Baltimore and San Juan to provide these attractive ‘Fun Ship’ cruise offerings from these ports,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival’s president and CEO.
In addition, Carnival Pride will offer two five-day Bermuda cruise, one departing 26 October 2015 and another ron 10 April 2016. Passengers will spend two full days at Heritage Wharf to enjoy the island’s renowned pink sand beaches, participate in various watersports and visit historic sites, such as the Royal Naval Dockyard and Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse.
As part of her three six-day Bahamas cruises operating roundtrip from Baltimore in November and December 2015 and February 2016, Carnival Pride will sail to Freeport and Nassau.
The Bahamas will also be a popular destination on Carnival Pride’s new eight-day eastern Caribbean voyages departing from Baltimore in October and December 2015, as well as February and April 2016. Calls include Grand Turk, the line’s private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay, and Nassau.
A special six-day East Coast US and Bahamas cruise from Baltimore featuring the line’s first-ever scheduled in-transit call to Charleston, South Carolina, as well as Port Canaveral, Florida, Nassau, and Freeport, will be offered 22 November 2015.
Cahill said: “These new voyages not only provide holidaymakers with an abundance of five- to 14-day cruise choices, but also feature a wide range of spectacular island destinations throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda.”
This autumn, Carnival Pride will undergo a multi-million-dollar makeover to add a variety of dining, bar and entertainment features as part of the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 product enhancement initiative. The ship will offer a range of new venues, such as Guy’s Burger Joint, the pharmacy-themed cocktail venue Alchemy Bar, BlueIguana Cantina, the EA SPORTS Bar with a 16-monitor video wall and 24/7 sports ticker, and the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar. Other highlights will include Bonsai Sushi, ThirstyFrog Red, Library Bar with self-service wine dispensers, Cherry On Top store, the WaterWorks aqua park and entertainment options such as Hasbro, The Game Show, and Playlist Productions.
