Princess Cruises is expanding its catalogue of Alaska National Parks cruisetours, providing more opportunities for guests to visit Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell St. Elias, Kenai Fjords and Katmai.
The announcement follows the launch of the 15-night ‘National Parks Expedition’ cruisetour in 2024. Princess’ new offerings will visit from three to five national parks, combining the cruise line’s ‘Voyage of the Glaciers’ seven-day cruise with rail travel and multiple days on land, including stays at four Princess-owned wilderness lodges.
“There's no better way to experience the breathtaking expanse of Alaska than by combining the luxury of a cruise with an immersive journey on land,” said Terry Thornton, chief commercial officer for Princess Cruises. “Alaska is a land of towering glaciers, majestic peaks, abundant wildlife, and stunning beauty that stretches as far as the eye can see. With our seamlessly crafted cruisetours, guests are brought directly to the doorsteps of some of the world's most iconic national parks, allowing them to explore and soak in the awe-inspiring natural splendour that makes this destination truly unique.”
In addition to the 15-night National Parks Expedition itinerary, a 14-night ‘National Parks Explorer’ cruisetour will visit Denali, Kenai Fjords, Glacier Bay, Wrangell-St. Elias and Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park Skagway. A shorter, 9-night ‘Katmai National Park’ itinerary will spend two nights in Alaska’s largest city Anchorage and visit two national parks, Katmai and Glacier Bay.
In 2026, both the National Parks Expedition and National Parks Explorer itineraries will return, along with a 14-night itinerary visiting Denali, Kenau Fjords and Glacier Bay.
In total, Princess will sail seven ships during the Alaska season in 2025 and eight ships in 2026 from five homeports, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver and Anchorage. Princess’ voyages include 88 visits to Glacier Bay, more than any other cruise line.
