Princess Cruises is to return to the Antarctic as part of its 2019-2020 South America season.

The line-up of itineraries includes 14 cruises that will take guests to a total of 31 destinations in 18 countries from Fort Lauderdale in Florida, Santiago in Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Guests will be able to choose from nine different itineraries, which will range from 14 to 58 days.

One highlight will be a 58-day South America voyage that visits Easter Island, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for the carnival, Machu Picchu in Peru, and Iguazú Falls and Patagonia in Argentina.

Sailing in South America for the first time, Coral Princess will offer three departures from Buenos Aires to Santiago, which will include scenic cruising in the Antarctic Peninsula. Her sister ship Island Princess will also sail in South America. Other highlights include pre- or post-cruise tours that take guests to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

“South America is a highly-desired destination for our guests with so many landmarks and cultures to explore,” said Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises. “This upcoming season also marks our return to Antarctica which we know is a huge draw for travel seekers and has been voted a top place to visit.”
