Pullmantur Cruises is to expand its onboard connectivity and broadband satellite services after extending its 11-year contract with maritime communications provider MTN Communications (MTN).

MTN will install an updated wifi infrastructure, crew calling services and internet cafes across the line’s fleet, improving connectivity services for both the passengers and the crew. MTN will also provide access to specialised apps, social media and other new products through its next-generation MTN Nexus network.

“We want our guests to have the best experience possible in all aspects of a Pullmantur cruise and over the years we have relied on MTN for consistency and reliability,” said Antonio Diez, CFO of Pullmantur Cruises. “During our relationship with MTN we have experienced the highest standards of quality, reliability and responsiveness; the full suite of products and services has been more than suited to support our passengers and crew. It is clear our visions are aligned on how communications at sea should be managed.”
