Quark Expeditions is to add a third small expedition ship to its Antarctic fleet in November 2015.
Replacing Sea Spirit during the 2015-2016 Arctic season, the 199-passenger Ocean Endeavour will undergo a multi-million dollar refurbishment to before sailing 12 voyages to Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and South Georgia in November 2015.
Engineered to explore the polar regions, Ocean Endeavour has an ice-strengthened hull and advanced navigation equipment, as well as a fleet of Zodiacs, which will be used for exploration and remote landings.
Ocean Endeavour will be the only polar adventure ship in Antarctica to provide health and wellness facilities and services, enabling passengers to participate in yoga classes and massage therapy sessions, or use the sauna and gym. The ship will also have a wellness café and juice bar, as well as a choice of 13 stateroom categories including a number of cabins priced for single occupancy with no single supplement.

The ship will offer the same all-inclusive features as Quark’s other ships, including pre-night hotel accommodation, all onboard meals, complimentary hot beverages, transfers to and from the ship, lectures and two shore excursions per day. In addition, Endeavour will feature unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, wine service with dinner. New adventure activities include an optional stand-up paddleboarding actvitiy, as well as camping, kayaking and cross-country skiing on select trips.
