RADA to perform on QM2

Drama school and The Juilliard School to perform on Cunard ship

Graduates from London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and students from The Juilliard School are to perform on several of Cunard’s Queen Mary 2’s Transatlantic Crossings.

RADA will perform will present edited versions of renowned plays and adaptations of well-known literature, such as Hamlet, Arabian Nights and Pride and Prejudice. In addition, the group will offer interactive workshops for guests.
Students and faculty members from New York’s Juilliard School will carry out a series of jazz performances.

“The elite, unique abilities of the Juilliard and RADA performers will continue to delight our guests and showcase Cunard’s rich tradition of celebrating the arts,” said David Dingle, CEO for Cunard Line. “These two lively partnerships give guests exclusive experiences they won’t forget as they take in the engaging onboard entertainment programming.”

RADA is scheduled to perform during the 21 July, 20 August and 8 October westbound voyages, while the Juilliard School members will perform during the 28 July, 27 August, 27 September, 28 October and 19 November eastbound crossings. .

Cunard’s Transatlantic Crossings, which first began 175 years ago, enable guests to sail from New York, US, to Southampton, UK. In addition to the Juilliard and RADA events, each crossing onboard Queen Mary 2 features a series of Royal Nights themed balls and musical revues in the Royal Court Theatre.
