Pearl Seas Cruises is to implement Rescompany’s (Resco) property management system (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) onboard its 210-guest newbuild Pearl Mist.
Part of the Resco ship management system, which covers all aspects of onboard operations, Resco PMS will help Pearl Seas to manage reservations, as well as gangway traffic, arrivals, check-in and check-out procedures, and more.
Designed to support the operations of all Pearl Mist’s revenue-generating departments – including food and beverage venues – Resco POS will enable the operator to monitor sales information and terminals; print and control guest cheques and charges; control excursions sales; and monitor staff and guests accounts. In addition, the solution will enable Pearl Seas to manage waiter’s information; gratuity calculations and discounts; stock control; and provide various sales reports, such as sales information per server, item and outlets.
“It is very encouraging to see more and more of our customers recognise the seamless cruise system packages our company provides with reservations, customer relationship management (CRM) and onboard solutions in one,” said Peter Winqvist, Rescompany managing director, adding that Pearl Seas has already implemented Resco CSR – a central reservation system – and CRM solutions.
Pearl Mist provides a range of seven-, ten- 11- or 14-night voyages to the Canadian Maritimes, Great Lakes, St Lawrence Seaway and the Caribbean.
