Royal Caribbean International has developed a new Multi-Day Adventures programme to offer guests the chance to enjoy immersive two-day overnight shore excursions as part of their cruise.

Offered mid-cruise, the Multi-Day Adventures enable guests to enjoy fully guided tours of the destinations’ landmarks, as well as dining, airfare (where applicable), hotel accommodation and transportation. After spending two nights exploring the destination, guests will rejoin their ship at the next port of call.

Some highlights include a ‘Tikal and Ceremonial Show’, which begins with a flight from Belize (or Honduras) to Guatemala and includes an overnight tour in the city, and a jungle expedition to a Mayan ceremony at ancient Mayan ruins in Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Meanwhile, guests cruising to Greece will be able to enjoy an excursion to the Agrolida Region and Katakolon, enabling them to visit the Acropolis of Athens and the Ancient Mycenae site of Argolida. They will also be able to stay the evening in the Mediterranean nation’s first capital, Nafpolio, and travel to Ancient Olympia, where the first Ancient Olympic Games took place.

Another excursion in Bangkok, Thailand will allow guests to visit canals and river tributaries via motor launch, as well as iconic monuments and sites. These will include the Wat Traimit (Temple of the Golden Buddha), the Asiatique riverfront, Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), and the Grand Palace.
