Sweden-based Salén Ship Management has appointed GAC Turkey as agent for Noble Caledonia’s Island Sky 64 scheduled calls in Turkey throughout 2015 and 2016.

The agreement, which follows GAC UK’s new contract to provide similar services to Ponant’s Le Boréal and L’Austral, covers ship agency, husbandry services, ship spares logistics and bunker fuels, and passenger and crew support services.

“GAC’s presence throughout Turkey together with its decades of expertise and focus on long-term relationships impressed us,” said Per Flodberg, Salén Ship Management’s head of operations. “Its ability to provide services to cruise liners in addition to traditional ship agency, such as bunker fuels and ship spares logistics, was a bonus and leaves me free to concentrate on other matters.”
