Marine, cargo and supply chain solutions provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has been appointed as a cruise strategy consultant by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA).

ISS Qatar will assess Qatar’s cruise industry to identify areas for potential development, create a strategy for future sustainable growth and maximise its involvement in regional initiatives, such as the Cruise Arabia Alliance. QTA will also call on ISS’ expertise to support its efforts in stationing cruise ships at the Doha Port as a means of accommodating visitors in 2022.

“We’re truly delighted to become cruise strategy consultants to QTA at this key time in the development of the country’s tourism,” said Grant Holmes as vice president of cruise solutions at ISS. “Winning this tender shortly after also being awarded another consultancy by the Qatar Ports Management Company for the study and design of all superstructure landside facilities for Doha’s temporary cruise terminal demonstrates how our cruise business is going from strength to strength.”

ISS will exhibit on booth 1407 at Seatrade Cruise Global in Fort Lauderdale, US between 14 and 17 March.
