Silversea Cruises’ Silver Shadow is to make an inaugural visit at the port of Nanaimo in Canada on 15 July.

Arriving at noon, the 382-passenger ship will call after a visit to Alaska as part of her eight-day roundtrip from Vancouver, Canada. The ship will remain in port until 11pm.

“We are very excited to see Silver Shadow for the first time in Nanaimo and during the prime time summer itinerary to Alaska,” said Bernie Dumas, president and CEO of Nanaimo Port Authority. “As always, we are working with our local community partners, the DNBIA and Tourism Nanaimo and others to make her call exceptional.

Silver Shadow’s passengers will be able to enjoy a range of shore excursions, visit a farm market on Pioneer Waterfront Plaza and watch Nanaimo’s historic cannons being fired at 2pm and 3pm.

As is customary for every cruise call at Nanaimo, the port authority will provide a complimentary shuttle service from the terminal to the town until late evening, while the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be available for photo opportunities.
