Silversea Cruises has signed an agreement with Broward County Commission to continue using Port Everglades in Florida, US as its winter homeport for the next two years.

Silversea Cruises has been sailing from Port Everglades since October 2000. The 596-passenger Silver Muse is scheduled to make her maiden call on 12-13 October 2017 and will offer five sailings from Port Everglades next year. Silver Spirit, Silver Whisper and Silver Wind will also offer departures from the port.

The agreement includes an option to renew the berthing agreement for an additional three years, with a minimum of 12 sailings annually.

“Silversea Cruises has been a valued customer of Port Everglades for many years, and with the agreement in place, we look forward to welcoming Silversea’s newest flagship Silver Muse when she makes her US debut this autumn,” said Steven Cernak, Port Everglades’ chief executive and port director.
