Silversea Cruises has announced that it will require all guests and crew to be fully vaccinated for future sailings.
The requirement will apply to all Silversea voyages other than those departing from Australia, where the protocol is still under evaluation. Other onboard safety procedures will include improved air filtration to ensure the supply fresh air from outside, enhanced cleaning practices and expanded medical teams and care on each ship.
“Vaccinations will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we visit, which we prioritise above all else,” said Roberto Martinoli, president and CEO of Silversea Cruises. “Paired with our science-backed onboard procedures, which leverage the expertise of the Royal Caribbean Group’s Healthy Sail Panel, vaccinations will enable our guests to travel deep into the world once again, with a renewed sense of appreciation for our beautiful planet.”
The cruise line also unveiled a set of new sailings onboard Silver Moon, the cruise line’s new flagship. The ship will depart on a series of 10-day voyages from Greece beginning on 18 June, calling at the Greek ports of Santorini, Paros, Mykonos and Crete, as well as Cyprus and the Port of Haifa in Israel.
