Star Clippers has refurbished the third of its classic tall ships in time for her summer season in the Mediterranean.

The 170-passenger Star Clipper was renovated during a transatlantic crossing earlier this year as part of the line’s rolling refurbishment programme. The ship’s cabins and public areas were refreshed with new paint, while new bed linen, LED reading lights and flat screen TVs were fitted in the guest cabins. Category One cabins have also received new side lamps, while the upholstery was updated in the dining room.

In 2013, Royal Clipper – the line’s largest ship – was fitted with new carpets and bathrooms, while the public areas were refreshed on Star Flyer in 2012. All three ships feature nautical décor.

“It’s important to maintain the look of our ships so that when guests step aboard they feel like they are coming on to their own well-maintained yacht,” said Andy Lovering, director of sales and marketing at Star Clippers. “We want to exceed our guests’ expectations for their entire Star Clippers experience and that includes the appearance of the ships.”

All three Star Clippers ships will sail Mediterranean itineraries this summer, calling at ports in Italy, Spain, France, Montenegro, Croatia, the Balearics, the Aegean and North Africa.
