Starboard Cruise Services has designed the retail experience onboard Costa Firenze, the newest ship in Costa Cruises’ fleet.
The Galleria Shops area onboard the ship features 13 stores offering a range of categories including fine jewellry and apparel, trip souvenirs and travel essentials. They will also offer rotating collections featuring Florentine souvenirs such as pottery and miniatures, which will be refreshed twice on each voyage. The shops also offer a Retail Concierge service, enabling guests to shop from their staterooms, book private retail appointments and take concierge-led store outings.
“Appealing to Costa’s incredibly diverse guests, our teams have created an authentic Italian-style shopping experience amplifying our partner’s vision to bring the warm Italian hospitality to sea,” says Lisa Bauer, president and CEO of Starboard. “Costa Firenze represents a further step of our long-term partnership with Costa Cruises. It really has been a pleasure working closely together to capture the spirit of the Italian brand and creating personalised onboard retail experiences for its unique guest profiles.”
Several Italian brands will debut on a Costa ship for the first time, including jewellry brands Ciclamini, Myto Firenze and Di Modolo, vintage handbag retailer What Goes Around Comes Around and men’s clothing brand Stone Rose. Also available will be handbags and shoes from Lemlem and diamond rings from the Together as One collection, as well as Bally Escapes’ collection of multifunctional travel products.
"Costa Firenze is the perfect ambassador of Italian style, which we have combined with a series of product innovations designed especially for families and couples,” said Giuseppe Carino, vice president of guest experience and onboard sales for Costa Cruises. “The onboard shop offer completes the immersive Italian cruise vacation experience for all our European guests.”
Costa Firenze is currently sailing one-week cruises from Savona, Italy, calling at Italian destinations including Civitavecchia, Rome, Naples, Catania, Palermo and Cagliari.
