Tarragona Cruise Port Costa Daurada has closed its 2015 season after welcoming 11,600 cruise passengers, an 83% rise from the previous year.

This year, the Spanish cruise port hosted 11 ships at its cruise terminal, generating around €719,000 for Tarragona’s local economy. Around 42% of the cruise visitors were British, while 18% were French, 15% Italian, and Australians and North Americans each represented 6% of the total.

While in port, these passengers participated in organised shore excursions to sites such as the city of Tarragona, Montblanc and Poblet, Altafulla, Cambrils and Reus, Barcelona and PortAventura.
