Tauck River Cruising’s newbuild vessels Savor and Inspire will feature 57 per cent more suites than the company’s existing Jewel Class vessels when they make their European debut in 2014.

At 443-ft in length, Savor and Inspire will feature 67 staterooms, 32 of which will be 300-sqft suites located on the ships’ Diamond Decks. The ships will also have 22 cabins of 225sqft and 13 cabins measuring 150 to 190sqft. Eight of the 22 cabins will be located on the Emerald deck and feature an innovative ‘loft’ design with a raised platform seating area.

The Inspiration Class vessels will also offer expanded public areas including a dining room accommodating all guests in one sitting and a casual dining venue with a retractable glass wall. Each vessel will also feature a cocktail lounge, fitness centre, spa, hair salon and a sun deck with a jacuzzi.

“Our guests travel with Tauck because they demand a superior experience, and that same insistence on having ‘the best’ drives very high demand for suites aboard our riverboats,” said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar. “When we sat down to develop our new Inspiration Class ships, it only made sense to raise the number of suites even higher.”

Tauck will also introduce four new river cruises in 2014, including its first itineraries on the Seine.
