US-based operator Tauck is to offer inclusive flights, a new Rhine itinerary and two new ships in 2016.
Tauck, which celebrated its 90th anniversary this year, will sail a new Rhine, Swiss Alps and Amsterdam cruise in 2016.
The itinerary will take guests to Europe’s highest railway station in the Bernese Alps and offer private tours, dinner and music at Schloss Ehreshoven, a moated German castle that is normally closed to the public. Guests will also visit Schloss Johannisberg, a former Benedictine monastery with a 1,200-year history of wine-making and was home to the first Riesling wine estate.
The cruise operator will also introduce its 135m newbuilds, Grace and Joy, in April and June respectively. Designed to carry just 130 passengers, the vessels have 22 luxury suites measuring 22,300 sqft.
“2015 has been an important year for Tauck as we celebrate our 90th birthday and our 2016 line up will be the best yet, with more unparalleled cultural experiences on offer for our guests,” said Steve Spivak, Tauck’s vice president.
