Tauck will welcome MasterChef winner Luca Manfé and restauranteur Jacques Haeringer on two of its river cruises on the Danube later this year. Each chef will host onboard cooking demonstrations, special tastings and share tips with guests.
Haeringer is the award-winning founder of L’Auberge Chez Francois in Virginia, which specialises in Alsatian cuisine from Germany. He will join guests on the 14 August ‘Danube Reflections’ itinerary, where he will host special tastings and dinners, share insights on French cooking and culture, and showcase on¬board cooking demonstrations with locally sourced products.
Manfé is the season-four champion of TV show MasterChef, which is judged by award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay, restaurateur Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot. Manfé is also the author of the cookbook ‘My Italian Kitchen,’ which highlights the culinary traditions of the Friuli region in Italy, where he was born.
During the 28 October ‘Blue Danube’ cruise, Manfé will host tastings that highlight Italian culinary traditions, prepare a special five-course chef's signature dinner and will also be available throughout the cruise to interact with guests and answer questions.
