The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is to equip its three new cruise yachts with integrated water management solutions from provider Evac.
All three ships will feature the Evac Complete Cleantech solution, which comprises the Evac vacuum collection system, Evac Optima 5 vacuum toilets and Evac EcoVac vacuum tanks. In addition, the ships’ wastewater treatment systems will include two Evac MBR 95 KN plants and the dry- and wet waste systems, which use Evac vacuum food waste collection units, a briquetting unit, and a cyclone incinerator. The yachts will also feature Evac’s fresh water generation systems.
“We’re very proud to make this contribution and be a part of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection,” said Ljubo Jurisevic, president of Evac Global Cruise Business. “Thanks to the Evac systems, the yachts will not only be some of the most luxurious around, but also some of the most sustainable.”
Noting that the Ritz-Carlton guest experience reflects The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the company’s managing director Douglas Prothero said: “We collaborate with suppliers like Evac as part of our overall environmental strategy with a focus on innovative products.”
All three yachts will be designed by Tillberg Design of Sweden and will be constructed by the Spanish shipbuilder Hijos de J. Barreras. Each yacht will carry 298 guests and include duplex penthouses, a Ritz-Carlton spa and a restaurant created by Sven Elverfeld, who developed Aqua, the restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg, Germany.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will offer cruises ranging from seven- to 10-days, with the first yacht to set sail in 2019.
