Thomson to add balconies

Thomson Cruises is to add 73 private balconies to three of its ships, which will be available to book from November 2014.

Platinum-class vessel Thomson Celebration, which will sail in from Barbados next November, will feature 26 balconies, while Thomson Majesty and Thomson Spirit will be fitted with 28 and 19, respectively.

The balconies will be added to selected cabin types, offering passengers the chance to experience ocean views from the comfort of their own private space.

“The addition of private balconies really takes our offering up a notch, giving customers an even better experience on board our ships,” said Fraser Ellacott, customer operations director, Thomson Cruises. “We know that customers want the best of both worlds when it comes to relaxing in their own private cabins, as well as getting involved with onboard life in public areas of the ship. A private outside space is really important to many and the investment we are putting into our fleet is clear from this enhancement.”

Thomson Dream, which will homeport in Montego Bay, Jamaica from November 2014, already has six private balconies available for customers to book.
