The Port of Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete has recently welcomed passengers from three cruise ships.

Celestyal Olympia, Celestyal Odyssey and Aida Stella all called at the port on the island’s northern coast on 13 September.

Approximately 5,200 guests and 1,500 crew members were welcomed and enjoyed a live presentation of Greek and Cretan cuisine. This included a carving exhibition of fruits and vegetables, as well as interactive cooking classes to teach the recipe of the Cretan traditional salad. Guests were also able to learn about and taste other local products.

The port is set to welcome approximately 36,250 visitors this month, with a further 57,000 expected in October.
