UK-based marine interior refurbishment firm Trimline has upgraded a total of 20 Owners Suites onboard Azamara Club Cruises’ Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey.

The consecutive refit projects were carried out last November and December while the ships were in service.

“We are delighted with the work we have carried out to the two Azamara cruise ships,” said Mike Oliver, sales and marketing director at Trimline. “Working on-the-run always has its challenges, but we are adept at handling these and overcoming any potential limitations. We managed 20 installations of suites within very tight deadlines and we’re really happy with the results.”

In total, 14 Trimline staff – including joiners, carpet fitters, electricians, upholsterers, decorators, labourers and a French polisher – boarded Azamara Quest in Greece to strip-out of the ten existing suite interiors. During the refit, the team installed new wall lights, lamps, sofas, bed frames, armchairs, and carpets. The suites were also redecorated and accessorised with curtains that were handmade at Trimline Southampton headquarters. Some suites were fitted with new floating floors.

After completing Azamara Quest, Trimline upgraded ten suites on Azamara Journey in Italy.

“Trimline was given very tight deadlines and late deliveries were handled extremely well within the project deadline,” said Daniella Camere, project manager at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, the paren company of Azamara. “The company was particularly helpful in managing the purchasing and long lead times from vendors and we were extremely satisfied with the way the project was managed.”
