UK-based marine interior refit firm Trimline has completed a 28-day interior refurbishment in the public areas onboard the largest privately owned residential yacht, The World.
During the 28-day dry dock in Cadiz, Spain, Trimline’s specialist and engineers redesigned the Marine Restaurant with new retractable floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a private dining room, a bar and lounge area, a chef’s presentation table, and a custom wine vault showcasing 1,500 bottles.
The company also fitted ergonomic seats, thick pile carpets, wooden parquet flooring and velvet drapes in the Colosseo theatre, and added four new Bali beds with retractable awnings and privacy walls on the reconfigured area of Deck 12.
In addition, the World Spa & Wellness Centre was refreshed with new pedicure and manicure stations, a barber shop and Pilates studio, while the physiotherapy room was updated to provide enhanced therapeutic rehabilitation services to residents.
“Everyone at Trimline is extremely proud to have delivered such a striking refurbishment to The World,” said Andrew Richards, Trimline’s CEO. “Our skilled teams came into their own on this technically challenging transformation.”
Following the refit, The World continued on her 2016 journey across Europe and the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Indonesia and Australia.
