Southampton-based marine outfitter Trimline recently completed an 11-day revitalisation project onboard DFDS Seaways’ Cote D’albatre, during an emergency layover period in Le Havre, France.

As part of the contract, Trimline manufactured and replaced the faux leather seat covers on 235 lounge chairs and installed a stainless steel cage to protect the computer hub from damage in a multi-purpose storage area.

The company also removed the existing soft-play installation in the children’s play area and fitted new bench seating, deck and bulkhead padding, play shapes and a flat-screen television.

“We are very impressed with Trimline, as all work was carried out in good time and the quality of the workmanship is exceptional,” said Charles Denise, marine technical superintendent. “The new seat covers and children’s play area have been much admired by all who have seen them and we look forward to more positive responses once the ship is back in service.”

All on-site work on was completed in four days.
