TTS Marine has fitted the first section of a new passenger gangway network at the Port of Värtan in Stockholm, Sweden.

The port, which is currently being extended to accommodate a new passenger terminal, will be fitted with a 600m fixed gangway, as well as six moveable gangways.

Designed to connect vessels directly to the new terminal building, the movable gangways will serve three of Värtan’s five berths – two per berth. This will enable the port to process passengers more quickly, decreasing vessel turnaround times. Passengers arriving at quays 2 and 3 will be able to use the new facilities from October.

The gangways, which were designed by TTS, have a trussed steel frame and glass walls.
