Virgin Voyages’ second ship, Valiant Lady, will head to Port de Barcelona, Spain, on 14 May 2022 to begin its summer season in the Mediterranean.
Barcelona will be the second homeport to the vessel, which has been operating from Miami since its debut in March 2022.
Valiant Lady will offer seven-night itineraries from Barcelona, including ‘The Irresistible Med’, which will take guests to destinations in the French Riviera; ‘French Daze & Ibiza Nights’, which will visit Marseille and Cannes in France before heading to Ibiza, Spain; and ‘Spanish Obsession’, which will offer a tour of the Balearic Islands from Mallorca to Malaga, Spain.
“We are so excited to finally bring our beautiful Valiant Lady to Barcelona and begin her European tour,” said Tom McAlpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages. “With her sister ship Scarlet Lady sailing the gorgeous Caribbean seas, the stunning Mediterranean was the dream destination for our next home. From Palma de Mallorca to Cagliari or Toulon, we’re thrilled to be able to offer sailors the Virgin access to some of Europe’s most stunning destinations.”
Valiant Lady features 1,330 cabins, 78 RockStar Quarters and two Massive Suites. In total, 86 per cent of cabins have a balcony and 93 per cent offer ocean views.
“The spectacular Mediterranean is home to some incredible destinations that everyone should have the pleasure of enjoying, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience this region with us,” said Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group. “When we started Virgin Voyages, we knew we wanted to create something special, unlike anything ever seen before in the cruising world. The result is something I am tremendously proud of, and I hope everyone in Barcelona joins me in bidding bienvenida to Valiant Lady.”
