Canadian port expects to handle 135 vessels and around 240,000 cruise guests this year

Holland America Line’s Veendam opened the 2016 cruise season at the Port of Halifax, Nova Scotia on 30 April.
This year, the Canadian port expects to handle 135 vessels and around 240,000 cruise guests.
Highlights will include eight inaugural calls, four visits from Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2, three visits from Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic, and a five-ship day on 7 October. The busiest passenger day will be 15 September, when more than 9,000 people plus crew will call.
