Maritime training and education provider Videotel Marine International has received several accolades for its films, animation and online computer-based programmes.

At the Horizon Interactive Awards, Videotel earned several awards including a gold medal for its Maritime Security Training Course and a ‘Best in Category’ award for its Making the Difference, Passenger Mustering and Crowd Control programme.

The company’s Catering On Board Ship Series, (Programme 9, Dry Heat Cooking Methods) – which is a new Maritime Labor Convention-focused training series – earned a gold medal. The catering training programme also gained a Golden Reel from the MCA-I Media Festival.

In addition, COLREGS & IALA Buoyage Training Course, which addresses the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, was awarded a gold medal in the web-based training category from both the Horizon Interactive Awards and the World Media Festival (Hamburg).

“We are delighted that the consistent quality of our productions and the technical expertise of the Videotel production team have been recognised across the film and media industry,” said Nigel Cleave, CEO of Videotel Marine International. “These awards are peer reviewed and, as such, provide a real vote of confidence to our painstaking and unique approach to creating the very best user training experience.”
