Viking Line’s Viking Gabriella has returned to service with new restaurant concepts and improved passenger wellness services after a two-week dry dock at the Turku Repair Yard in Naantali, Finland.
The cruise ferry’s Food Garden restaurant has been converted into the Seafood Bar restaurant. Meanwhile the Bistrotek restaurant has been redesigned as a pop-up street food restaurant that will offer different themed cuisine – the first will be ‘Flavours of Mexico’. Both restaurants will launch their operations under their new concepts from 1 June 2018.
Elsewhere, Viking Gabriella’s saunas, dressing rooms and pool area have been renovated and another treatment room has been built to double the capacity for spa treatments. The renovation work on the sauna and pool area will continue throughout May and the renewed wellness services will be launched on 1 June.
“There is an increasing demand for cruises that provide great experiences and luxurious pampering,” said Lauri Orpana, route manager for Viking Line. “Our aim is to meet our customers’ requests by renewing, in particular, our wellness services and restaurant concepts.”
A third of the A-cabins in standard class were also upgraded and equipped with televisiona. In addition, the public areas have been renovated, with highlights including new carpets in hallways, refurbished restrooms and conference facilities.
