Valiant Lady, the second of Virgin Voyages’ four ‘Lady ships’, will debut in Portsmouth, UK, in March 2022, then visit both London International Cruise Terminal in Tilbury and Liverpool, before sailing to her new homeport in Barcelona, Spain, in May.
“Following the success of our first lady ship, Scarlet Lady, we are so excited to debut Valiant Lady to the UK this March and begin our European tour,” said Tom McAlpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages. “The lifting of UK travel restrictions has already shown promising signs with 70 per cent uplift in bookings since December – and we can’t wait to welcome sailors onboard!”
Similar to her sister ship, Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady features 1,330 cabins, 78 RockStar Quarters and two Massive Suites. In total, 86 per cent of all accommodation will have a balcony and 93 per cent will have ocean views.
While onboard, guests will be able to enjoy live entertainment, health and wellness facilities, and dining experiences curated by Michelin-starred chefs.
Valiant Lady’s itineraries include longer port stays and overnight stays at islands such as Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza in Spain. Virgin Voyages is also continuing to implement health and safety protocols, such as testing before embarkation, vaccine requirements and sailing with reduced capacity.
“Virgin Voyages has been a dream in the making since my 20s and today is a momentous day launching our second lady ship, Valiant Lady,” said Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group. “In our five decades in business, Virgin has always sought to offer our customers something extra special, and Virgin Voyages has worked tirelessly to do just that.”
