World of gaming

The origins of the Casinos Austria Group date back to 1934, when the first casinos were opened in Austria. Parent company Casinos Austria AG, owns and manages these 12 casinos and has held the sole concession to operate casinos in Austria since 1968. Casinos Austria International (CAI), the Group's international subsidiary, was founded in 1977 to consolidate its global activities.

Always recognised as a leading player in the industry, CAI has successfully opened more casino, gaming, and entertainment projects in more jurisdictions than any other operator worldwide. Service, quality, integrity, responsibility and respect for tradition are the driving forces behind the company's success and are reflected in every business model.

CAI and its partners operate 59 gaming and entertainment venues in 18 countries around the globe, together the Group’s operations featuring more than 690 gaming tables and 7,200 gaming machines.

As casino concessionaire onboard the prestigious Silversea Cruises fleet, Casinos Austria Maritime Corporation (CAM), a CAI subsidiary offers pampered guests a friendly gaming experience on five of the most luxurious vessels afloat. A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence have been a mutual foundation for both companies since the partnership began in 2005.
Throughout its 27-year history, CAM has established a reputation as an industry leader. In the Americas region CAM operates five shipboard casinos, six land-based casinos, 15 slot parlors and a lottery in Argentina. Sharing the mission of the parent company, CAM strives to attract new partnerships in both segments of its business – casino development and management. Casino development involves identifying new markets and attracting new partners to develop exciting, innovative casino projects, while management includes the use of innovative marketing strategies, tailored to each operation and helping to retain repeat visitors while successfully attracting new guests into every casino throughout the region.

Casinos Austria Maritime has recently announced a new concession agreement with Bahamas Entertainment Management Ltd. to offer slot machines onboard the Bahamas Express, a fast ferry service operating between Florida and the Bahamas since December 2011. The vessel, Pinar del Rio, is owned primarily by the Spanish group Balearia and its local partner, the Capo Group.
