2 1 Bolidt has fitted its new Bolideck LED flooring solution for the first time onboard TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 2. Featuring integrated lighting that can be programmed to form different patterns or vary the intensity of individual LEDs, the flooring has been fitted in a bar and several passenger access areas onboard the ship. It forms part of the ‘floor diamonds’ artwork Bolidt has developed in partnership with art consultancy ICArt and design studio SOFTlab. Over 10,000 square metres of Bolidt’s synthetic flooring has been used onboard Mein Schiff 2, Including Bolideck Future Teak, Select Soft and Select Hard. Layering Supporting an eco-friendly ethos, layering recycled furniture alongside new with multiple patterns and materials will give rise to more eclectic social spaces. Touch reducing tech Prioritised post-Covid-19, guests will be required to touchless through smart lighting, digital keys, facial recognition and more. YSA Design redesigns Regent Seven Seas Cruises dining venue YSA Design has created a new design for Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ popular La Veranda restaurant onboard the line’s newest ship, Seven Seas Splendor. The interior design firm cooperated closely with shipbuilder Fincantieri to introduce projecting enclosed balconies which offers diners ocean views from both starboard and port.
