2 2 CFI CURATED River cruise newbuilds We highlight some of the new and innovative designs for river cruise ships that will be launching soon Amera Designed by Cubik3, Phoenix Reisen’s new river cruise ship Amera will feature spacious and innovative cabins, restaurants and lounge areas when she launches later in 2020. Viking Seine Ships Inspired by the design of the Viking Longships, the four identical vessels will debut in 2020. The new Seine Ships – Viking Fjorgyn, Viking Kari, Viking Radgrid and Viking Skaga – will each be able to host 168 guests in 84 staterooms and will feature an Aquavit Terrace, various stateroom categories, onboard solar panels and Viking’s signature Scandinavian design aesthetic. The four ships will dock in the centre of Paris, adjacent to the Eiffel Tower when they begin sailing Viking’s eight-day ‘Paris and the Heart of Normandy’ itinerary in 2021. “We continue to lead because we focus on the destination and innovate for our guests, opening doors around the world at places that may otherwise have been difficult to visit.” said Torstein Hagen, chairman of Viking.
