2 1 Sunset Bar will be the first space at sea created by Celebrity Cruises’ design ambassador Nate Berkus. It will be almost twice as large as previous iterations and feature a Moroccan-inspired design scheme, covered enclaves and cascading terraces with ocean views. Photos: Celebrity Cruises Inspired by modern opera halls, the three- deck-high Grand Plaza will be larger than on other Edge-class vessels, enabling design firm Jouin Manku to place a circular Martini Bar in the middle, increase seating and redesign the chandelier centrepiece to feature hundreds of LED lights. The Resort Deck will be transformed by Kelly Hoppen CBE into an asymmetrical space featuring a 25-yard lap pool with submerged sun loungers, surrounded by a terraced pool deck with new sunken seating areas and two-storey martini glass-shaped hot tubs. The Retreat, an exclusive resort space for suite guests, will offer revamped Edge Villas with outdoor plunge pools, an updated Retreat Lounge and a new two-storey Retreat Sundeck with secluded cabanas, seating areas, additional water features and the exclusive Retreat Bar.
