Portsmouth International Port, UK Portsmouth International Port is in the process of extending an existing terminal to accommodate the increased number of cruise ships visiting the port. The extension will create capacity to manage an anticipated 250,000 additional passengers each year, as well as the two million passengers that are already welcomed annually at the port. The carbon-neutral extension will feature a sky garden, where passengers can enjoy views of the port, as well as a walkway from the current terminal to the new check-in area, foliage-covered interior living walls, an expansive baggage hall and an exclusive cruise lounge. The project was made possible by government Levelling Up funding and will create over 2,500 jobs, including 550 in the city of Portsmouth.
