27 Luxury cruise brand Crystal is to launch four new ships before 2029. It is working with advisors, lenders and export credit agents to finalise an agreement with two European shipbuilders for two classic ships and two expedition vessels. “We have ambitious growth plans for Crystal and are proud of what we have accomplished in just under a year,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group. “We are now thrilled to announce we will be growing our fleet.” The brand, which was saved from liquidation by A&K Travel Group in June 2022, already operates two ocean cruise ships, both of which have been extensively refurbished at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Trieste, Italy (read more on page 117). Crystal Serenity re-entered service from Marseille in France on 31 July, while Crystal Symphony departed from Athens in Greece on 1 September 2023. The Intero-Line can be used for a variety of applications but is an ideal solution for spaces that would benefit from indirect lighting, such as guest cabins.
