25 Regent Seven Seas Cruises has launched six new itineraries for 2024 and 2025, all of which will feature an overnight stay in each port of call. This is a first for the cruise industry, according to the brand. The ‘Immersive Overnights’ itineraries will be operated by Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Voyager and Seven Seas Navigator. The brand will offer a selection of 26 curated evening excursions in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Asia. Excursions include sunset winetasting at a Tuscan villa in Italy and a Michelin-star dinner in Athens, Greece. All five ships, which are currently under construction and are a mix of American Riverboats and Coastal Cats, will cater to the US market. The ships will accommodate between 90 and 180 passengers and are being built by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland. The addition of the new ships will renew focus on the Mississippi and Columbia Rivers, according to American Cruise Lines. Photo: American Cruise Lines Carnival Corporation has commissioned German shipbuilder Meyer Werft to build a fourth Excelclass cruise ship for its Carnival Cruise Line brand.
