Costa Cruises’ Costa Favolosa, Royal Caribbean International’s Jewel of the Seas and Phoenix Reisen’s Artania all docked at the Port of Tarragona in Spain on 7 October 2022, marking the first time that three cruise ships have been handled by the port simultaneously. The new record was enabled by the construction of the Balears Pier, which has expanded the available berths for cruise vessels. Since the start of the 2022 cruise season, 24 ships have docked at the pier, bringing approximately 47,000 passengers to Tarragona.
