Cruise lines appreciate the central location, the reliable services and the variety of shore excursions, which focus on culture and heritage, nature, the Tower of Hercules (the world’s oldest lighthouse still in use) and culinary experiences. 2023 saw 130 calls and 323,991 passengers at the port and it’s expected to increase to over 140 calls and more than 350,000 passengers in 2024. Nearby excursions include the Seven Great Gardens of Cornwall, the Eden Project, the arts hub of St Ives, and heritage sites that inspired the legend of King Arthur and Poldark.
