MARKETWATCH 1 8 Silver Endeavour to sail from pole to pole in 2023-2024 itineraries Silversea Cruises’ upcoming expedition vessel Silver Endeavour will travel on 25 new voyages across 116 destinations between May 2023 and March 2024. Destinations will include Northern Europe, the Arctic and Antarctica and the ship will make 24 maiden calls for the cruise line. During the summer, Silver Endeavour will explore the British Isles, Iceland and the Arctic, while in the winter it will travel south to the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. “With state-of-the-art expedition amenities, the industry’s highest space-to-guest ratio, and a leading team of experts onboard, Silver Endeavour will deliver the most enriching experiences for guests in the world’s most remarkable destinations, as they journey in unparalleled comfort,” said Conrad Combrink, senior vice president of expedition, destination and itinerary management at Silversea Cruises. “The development was agreed by Phil Davis, prime minister of The Bahamas, and other cabinet ministers on 6 October 2022 and construction will begin at the end of 2023.” Azul Destinations to build cruise port in The Bahamas Azul Destinations will develop a $250 million cruise port and resort at South Long Island in The Bahamas, called Calypso Cove. The port will host up to 13,000 cruise passengers per day and over 750,000 passengers per year. The resort will feature Black Pearl Lagoon at its centre, with swimming pools, gardens and water-sport activities on offer for guests. It will also feature shops, a market, restaurants and bars. The development was agreed by the Davis administration on 6 October 2022 and construction will begin at the end of 2023. DID YOU KNOW?
