The Ship Of The Future - an industry celebration

[ 83 ] ONBOARD HBM has not only made innovations in panel design and manufacture, but has also demonstrated excellent creativity in the manufacture of other products. The HBM fireproof door is assembled by combining steel plate, skeleton and rock wool, which has excellent sound insulation, heat preservation and decorative potential, meeting the needs of ordinary merchant ships, marine platforms and ro-ro passenger ships. We can provide multiple types of fire door such as single, double, sliding, rolling shutter and access doors. Customers can choose products with fire rating of A60, A30, A15, A0, B15, B3 and B0 according to their needs. HBM’s bathroom unit is composed of chassis, wall panel, ceiling and bathing equipment. It is assembled in the factory to form a bathroom unit module with the benefits of rapid positioning, simple installation and uniform quality. Our raw materials are diverse, and so the chassis can be made of steel, glass fibre reinforced plastics, SMC, etc. FUSION-CLASS SUPPLY Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) built the world’s largest diesel-battery hybridpowered double-ended ro-pax ferries for P&O Ferries and HBM is the panel, ceiling and bathroom unit supplier for the Fusion-class project. The project required a high level of artistic design and the shipowner has high expectations for the effect and quality of the products. The smooth delivery of the project has demonstrated that our products are of significance in industry benchmarking the luxury ro-pax ship interior outfitting sector. The panels of the P&O Ferries’ ro-pax ship project meet the requirements of Classification Society DNV, and the EC certificate is provided. The wall panels are made of Swedish film, and the gloss of ceiling paint is supplied at 10 per cent. The lower the gloss value, the easier the plates will crack after bending, and therefore the greater the processing difficulty. Following unremitting experimental trial production, our team finally achieved the required design effect and structural requirements while ensuring the quality of the panels. The crew’s living cabins on P&O Ferries’ ropax vessels have a high level of comfort. In order to achieve satisfactory noise reduction, officer’s and crew’s cabins have been supplied and installed with elastic joints. The panels that separate the cabins both from each other and from the cabin corridors are “ HBM products are used widely in luxury cruise ships, ro-ro passenger ships, offshore oil platforms, bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, LPG tankers and engineering ships”
